Harrisburg, PA— Phoenix Contact reports that a simple, 1/2-turn with its new Speedcon connection system makes a secure, watertight, vibration-proof connection between cordsets and devices.

Compatible with all standard M12 connectors on the market, Speedcon reduces the time it takes to connect an M12 threaded plug connector by up to 90%. No special adapters are required, which makes Speedcon backwards, forwards, and future compatible.

Speedcon plug connectors fulfill the same requirements for electrical and mechanical properties as classic M12 plug connector systems. Phoenix’s product line includes IP65 and IP67 cordsets; field-wireable, panel-mount connectors; and sensor-actuator boxes.

Speedcon’s technology is also integrated in the company’s Fieldline modular I/O system, providing a comprehensive array of fieldbus modules for Profibus, CANopen, DeviceNet and Interbus protocols.
