Real-Time Functionality for Windows

San Jose, Calif.—VenturCom Inc. has announced the general availability of its Real-Time Extension (RTX) 4.1 product. A real-time enabling product designed and built to function with both Microsoft Windows NT and CE, RTX is not an old real-time operating system attached to the Windows platforms, but a subsystem within the Windows NT/CE operating systems.

A real-time enabling product designed and built to function with both Microsoft Windows NT and CE, RTX is not an old real-time operating system attached to the Windows platforms, but a subsystem within the Windows NT/CE operating systems. Using a thread-based approach, it can deliver deterministic response for high-speed control applications.
