Jadak LLC, a supplier of radio-frequency identification (RFID), optical data collection, and machine vision technologies, announced it has acquired the assets of ThingMagic. ThingMagic, based in Woburn, Mass., provides ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID reader modules and finished RFID solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for a wide range of applications such as medical, retail, logistics, and the airline industry. Their purchase of Jadak is intended to enhance their UHF production line and accelerate their growth in the industrial, retail, and healthcare markets. The acquisition is also intended to improve their anti-counterfeiting and tracking ability in the growing RFID market.
