Plymouth , MN —As part of a product launch and facility tour at Turck May 30, the company is introducing the BL ident RFID system and Diagnostic Power Conditioner. After opening comments to assembled guests from Dean McCaskill, president and CEO of Turck USA, the day continued with product introduction sessions, review of Turck’s Sensing, Connectivity, and Networking and Interface product divisions, and a walk-through of Turck’s Tech Park manufacturing facility here.

An online Turck BL ident RFID system interactive simulator gives specifications for the company’s read-write tags, heads and other components, and shows the performance range of the radio frequency identification system. In the simulation, if the indicator moves outside the green area, parameters may be changed or a higher-performance housing style can be selected. An animation with tires and wheels on a conveyor shows a Turck gateway and interface (up to 8 channels), plug and connector cable for safe data transmission, a write / read head in housing style CK40, and a Blident data carrier in housing style T30, said to allow reading and writing of data carriers “regardless of location.”

The interactive online simulation allows variation of data quantity, speed, and distance while showing how parameters change using various equipment and options. Mousing over products shows a specification summary. Upon selection, options include return to simulation, print summary, ask for a personal consultation, or return to a site search function.
