Watlow’s on-off temperature and limit controllers are now compliant with the European Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive (2002-95-EC). Products include the Series CV, LV, CF, LF and TM controllers. Watlow uses components that meet the hazardous material restrictions outlined in the directive. RoHS restricts the use of several substances — lead, mercury, cadmium, hexa-valent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. While RoHS was developed for the European Union, similar requirements are being developed in other countries; therefore Watlow is addressing compliance issues across the board. The upgrade to RoHS compliance does not change customer model number ordering options, agency listings, prices, or warranties, according to the company. www.watlow.com Watlow
