Bingen, Wa.; Beaverton, Ore. – Roy-G-Biv (RGB) and Oregon Micro Systems (OMS) announced Mar. 5 that they’ve formed a partnership to provide OEMs, end-users and integrators with a low-cost solution for integrated motion control using RGB’s suite of XMC motion software productivity products and OMS’ motion controllers. This combined solution will allow users to configure, program and integrate OMS-based motion control products more quickly for various automation applications.

“Roy-G-Biv’s mission is to continue simplifying the use of complex motion control technologies with software products that drive down OEM development and integration costs associated with mixing motion control with other automation technologies. Our suite of motion control software products will allow OMS’ customers to select best-in-class non-motion equipment that more easily integrates with the flexible and price competitive line of OMS’ motion controllers.”

Bill Swanson, OMS’ sales and marketing director, adds that, “Roy-G-Biv provides a natural compliment to our business. Its motion programming and connectivity software products allow us to provide our customers with new solutions to maximize the value of our controllers. Their XMC integrated products allow our customers to cost-effectively integrate OMS controllers with their in-house control architectures.”
