Bloomington, Minn. —Sick’s new line of safety interlock switches include light duty plastic to standard heavy duty to extra heavy duty. Switches are available with attached roller or lever actuators and two-piece with removable blade-style actuators. A radio encoded noncontact interlock switch is rated for Type 4 safety applications. The noncontact T4000 comes in three parts: evaluation unit that houses the contacts, sensing head, and actuator. When the actuator is moved towards the read head and the switch-on distance is reached, power is supplied to the actuator via the inductive read head and data are transmitted by radio frequency. www.sickoptic.com Sick Inc.
