The fully sealed IP67 and NEMA6 compliant aluminum chassis are designed for high reliability, shock and vibration tolerance. It also can withstand an extreme range of temperatures and harsh environments. The computer’s IP67/NEMA6 compliance ensures full waterproof protection—including the aluminum housing, touch panel, connectors, optional cables, and conformal-coated electronics. It uses economical self-locking, threaded M12 connectors for LAN, RS-232, RS-232/422/385, CAN bus and audio. It has an embedded Intel Atom Processor N270 that is paired with the Intel 945GSE and ICH7M to extend its PC processing capability beyond basic consumer usage. Features include a 12.1-in. sunlight readable display, 2GB SODIMM memory, Wi-Fi 802.11n support, Gigabit Ethernet, USB host ports, SATA hard disk drive, and Compact Flash II slot for memory expansion. Design allows for mounting the computer directly into the console.
