Schneider Electric confirms B&R technology partnership; next: machine controller, I/O

Machine control and I/O system updates will be Schneider Electric's next step in a technology partnership with B&R.

Schneider Electric will work with B&R on machine controllers and I/O systems.

Focused on developing automation and control technology components, the Schneider Electric and B&R partnership allows both companies to offer customers the most advanced and innovative technology to meet ever-increasing performance needs, according to an announcement from B&R.

Schneider Electric will update its machine controller and I/O system ranges following a successful first step, in which B&R benefited from access to industry leading variable speed drive technology, B&R said.

Elie Belbel, Schneider Electric’s OEM solutions senior vice president commented "Helping our customers reduce complexity across all aspects of their machine lifecycle is critical and providing them with simple, easy to use machine and business solutions is our objective.
