Liberty, SC – Sealevel Systems announced November 5 three additions to the company’s USB to serial product line, the SeaLINK-USB+8 family. Available in RS-232, RS-422/485, and RS-232/422/485 models, the products connect serial devices via a single USB port.

These adapters enable connection of up to eight non-USB compatible devices such as scanners, bar-code readers, and a variety of plant-floor devices intended for data acquisition and control applications to USB ports. Once installed, the serial devices appear as standard COM ports to the host system. Data rates up to 921.6 Kbps are supported and the multi-interface model is field configurable at the port level for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 communication.

They ship with the company’s SeaCOM suite of Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP drivers. Also included is WinSSD, a testing and diagnostic application.

Products are available immediately from stock. Price is $399.00 for the eight port RS-232 model.
