Research Triangle Park, NC – The

ISA Security Compliance Institute

invites technology providers and asset owners to join an automation controls industry program

ISA

says its goal is to conduct independent assessments and validation of compliance to consensus industry security standards for manufacturing automation controls. Security performance requirements and testing will result.

The Institute is an industry consortium that facilitates an efficient forum of asset owners and suppliers for proposing, reviewing, and, approving security conformance requirements for products in the industry. Resulting requirements form the basis for the ISASecure compliance designation, which will enable suppliers to develop secure products based on industry consensus security standards.

The designation creates instant recognition of automation control products and systems that comply with the technical specifications. The program, an extension of ISA-sponsored services, provides links between automation control security standards (such as ISA99), and compliance to those standards.

The ISA Security Compliance Institute was created by ISA volunteer members from suppliers, asset owners, and major stakeholders in the automation controls community.
