Semiconductor sales remain strong in July
North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted $3.86 billion in billings worldwide in July 2021, which is almost 50% higher than the same period n 2020.
North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers posted $3.86 billion in billings worldwide in July 2021 (three-month average basis), according to the July Equipment Market Data Subscription (EMDS) Billings Report published today by SEMI. The billings figure is 4.5% higher than final June 2021 billings of $3.69 billion and 49.8% higher than July 2020 billings of $2.57 billion.
The SEMI Billings report uses three-month moving averages of worldwide billings for North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Billings figures are in millions of U.S. dollars.“The start of the second half of 2021 further extends a robust sales uptrend for North America-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers,” said Ajit Manocha, SEMI president and CEO in a press release. “Capacity demand across the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain continues its strong growth, reflecting the role of semiconductor equipment as a key engine of digital transformation globally.”
