Clifton, N.J.— Baran/Tec’s piezo sensor is now available as a discrete product. The sensor is known for being the sensing element in the company’s Everswitch family of buttons, switches, keypads, panels, and keyboards. The ceramic piezo sensors have no moving parts, and are mounted on a variety of materials. The sensor is activated by pressure on the housing surface. This force through the material generates a ripple that is subsequently amplified by the sensor electronics and converted into a digital signal. The final output voltage can be adjusted. Baran/Tec
