ZMD31015 signal conditioner IC with on-chip diagnostics from can be used with nearly all piezo-resistive bridge sensors. CMOS semiconductor device is the newest member of ZMD’s family of resistive bridge (RBic-Lite) signal conditioner integrated circuits. It provides accurate amplification and sensor-specific correction of bridge sensor signals. Enhanced real-time diagnostics detect any faulty connections, shorts, and power loss events. Signal conditioning is accomplished using an internal digital signal processor running a correction algorithm based on calibration coefficients stored in an on-chip, non-volatile EEPROM. Internal diagnostics make the device well suited for automation and industrial applications. A supporting development kit is available on the company’s Website.
