Mayfield Heights, O.— Rockwell Automation introduced six products using the EtherNet/IP network protocol for use with Ethernet wiring. Allen-Bradley products, for the ControlLogix, ProcessLogix, PLC-5, and SLC500 controllers, are SLC 5/05 processor, PLC-5/40E controller, PLC-5 Ethernet/IP interface module, PLC-5/20E controller, PLC-5/80E controller, and the EtherNet/IP module for ControlLogix and ProcessLogix. EtherNet/IP uses TCP for explicit messaging and UDP for implicit messaging; it uses the Control and Information Protocol, the application layer also used in ControlNet and DeviceNet. www.rockwellautomation.com
