Redmond, Wa. —New QS-CNC v2.0 control software is said to merge CNC G-codes and familiar alphanumeric motion commands to simplify application of SilverMax integrated servo motors (with built-in amplifier and controller) from QuickSilver Controls (Covina, Calif.). Using only a serial port, the software coordinates multiple SilverMax units in complex cutting operations to interpolated accuracy within 0.0005 in. QS-CNC handles most general motion control functions, plus If, Jump, and Subroutine statements; named variables; math; and logical evaluations. Measurement Computing Corp. (Middleboro, Mass.) adds value with a variety of its digital/analog I/O boards that fit QS-CNC’s architecture. www.motioncontrolsys.com . Motion Control Systems Inc.
