Vernon Hills, Ill.— Microsoft Windows 95/NT and 3.1 compatible MCOMM software allows the monitoring of up to 16 critical amplifier functions, defining of 4 critical high-speed amplifier functions, and display data in trend graph format. Using the alarm display, entire time-stamped alarm histories including amplifier code, description information, and probable causes can be reviewed. Test functions, which allow the user to control jog and motor positioning, operate the amplifier, individually activate outputs for verification of correct wiring and device operation, and initiate a user-written test program via MCOMM’s motion control language. The program controls servo motor speed, position, acceleration and deceleration rate, dwell time, and the number of cycles.
