Brea, Calif. – Simulation Sciences (SimSci), a unit of Invensys Process Systems, announced on Nov. 19 two opportunities for PipePhase engineering software users to improve engineering productivity and optimize up- and down-stream oil and gas operations. The solutions use new software to link a production well and surface piping simulator created using PipePhase with steady state process flowsheet simulators created using Pro/II.
SimSci’s new linking software supports integrated production system modeling between upstream oil or gas piping/production networks and associated downstream processing facilities.
PipePhase software rigorously models steady-state multiphase flow in oil and gas networks and pipeline systems. Incorporating wellbore characteristics and surface network facilities within the same simulations provides users the ability to model complete ranges of production analysis applications.
