SPS/IPC/Drives 2002 posts positive results
Unlike so many recently shrinking tradeshows, SPS/IPC/Drives 2002, Nov. 26-28, showed gains in virtually every statistic over last year's event, which is also known as the Electric Automation—Systems and Components Exhibition & Conference. The show's results were even more remarkable given Germany's far-from-glowing economic climate.
Nuremberg, Germany – Unlike so many recently shrinking tradeshows, SPS/IPC/Drives 2002, Nov. 26-28, showed gains in virtually every statistic over last year’s event, which is also known as the Electric Automation-Systems and Components Exhibition & Conference. The show’s results were even more remarkable given Germany’s far-from-glowing economic climate.
Five exhibition halls at Nuremberg’s Exhibition Center were full, accommodating 779 exhibitors, up from 715 last year. Ten U.S. companies participated in the show. SPS/IPC/Drives 2002 drew 22,900 visitors, compared to 21,114 in 2001. Attendees at the show’s adjunct conference, however, were down from a year ago, 497 versus 656.
The next edition of SPS/IPC/Drives and IT & Automation will take place at the same venue on Nov. 25-27, 2003.
