Ann Arbor, Mich. — GSE Klieverik BV (the Netherlands) recently selected Steeplechase Software’s PC-based control software as the standard control solution for its dispensing systems. The company formerly used a DOS-based control system for its paint dispensing systems, but found it wasn’t flexible and cost-effective for its customers.

“Our programmers were able to understand the basic principle of Steeplechase’s flow chart programming in just three days,” says Jan Gerritse, GSE Klieverik’s president. The firm’s technicians and programmers quickly used the flow charts for programming, diagnostics, and remote diagnostics and troubleshooting. With Steeplechase’s help, GSE Klieverik’s new PC-based control systems was programed in just two and a half days.

GSE Klieverik’s application requires the PC control software to download a recipe for a particular paint color, then dispense the right coloring agents, components, and hardeners based on the weight of a paint bucket on a scale. This requires GSE Klieverik’s control solution to execute numerous complex calculations when the colors are dispensed in a coarse then fine flow as the set point is achieved.

GSE Klieverik plans to use Steeplechase in future applications as its standard control solution for large and small dispensing system applications.
