Sterner Automation, Ruhlamat sign integration agreement

Sterner Automation Ltd. has agreed with Ruhlamat North America Ltd. to become an authorized systems integrator and service provider for Ruhlamat's automation systems in North America.

Sterner Automation Ltd . has agreed with Ruhlamat North America Ltd . to become an authorized systems integrator and service provider for Ruhlamat’s automation systems in North America. Sterner and Ruhlamat say they will work jointly on projects that allow manufacturers to benefit from Ruhlamat’s automation assembly technologies and Sterner’s market experience in North America. This latest integration agreement completes an earlier deal with Ruhlamat GmbH of Germany that allows Ruhlamat to sell and integrate Sterner’s products and technologies in Europe.

‘We’re excited about this agreement with Ruhlamat because our respective skills and solutions complement each other, and allow us to offer a broader range of proven solutions,’ says Christian Sterner, president. ‘We’ll also be able to provide enhanced local service, engineering, and design for Ruhlamat’s large installed base of automated assembly systems in North America.’

Remo Bonewitz, Ruhlamat’s president, adds that, ‘This agreement will provide enhanced support for our customers. Through Sterner Automation’s experience, expertise and local presence, we can better serve the needs of our customers with local installation, maintenance, engineering, or service capabilities.’

The firm adds that its expertise includes: calibration and test systems; system integration/automation; custom machinery design and build; factory information and control systems; and technical service.

Founded in Ruhla, Germany, in 1962, Ruhlamat manufactures automation equipment, and adds that its solutions and technologies meet the requirements of fully automatic, large-scale serial production equipment.
