Emerson Industrial Automation's SI-Safety module is a System Integration module designed to minimize production downtime by enabling a machine to slow down or stop, removing the need to power-down the machine after interruption. The module meets SIL3, the highest safety level attainable for industrial electrical components, and it is also compliant with standards for machinery and electrical systems. The SI-Safety module is designed to minimize production downtime by enabling a machine to slow down or stop, removing the need to power-down the machine after interruption in conjunction with the end user’s safety procedures. Full safe PLC capabilities are unlocked via the dedicated CTSafePro programming environment which allows users to combine elements to develop their own safety function blocks to meet the specific needs of more advanced applications.
