System integrators affiliate with professional organizations

When asked about ties to professional organizations, system integrators reported that they’re most often affiliated with ISA, IEEE, and CSIA, according to information collected for the “2005 Automation Integrator Guide,” published by Control Engineering in December 2004.

When asked about ties to professional organizations, system integrators reported that they’re most often affiliated with ISA, IEEE, and CSIA, according to information collected for the “2005 Automation Integrator Guide,” published by Control Engineering in December 2004.

The integrators’ leading affiliations, among 122 choices, were:

  • ISA, the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society—29%;

  • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)—20%;

  • Control and Information System Integrators Association (CSIA)—14%;

  • Industrial Computing Society (ICS)—10%; and

  • Underwriters Laboratories—8%.
