Tag analytics provider reports “read milestone”
RFID analytics and applications supplier T3Ci recently reported its billionth RFID tag read.
RFID analytics and applications supplier T3Ci recently reported its billionth RFID tag read. T3Ci develops software solutions targeting key applications in the consumer goods market, including Out of Stock Management, Promotion Execution Management, Deductions Management, and Direct Store Delivery Management. Counted among its customers are Proctor & Gamble, Kraft, Unilever, Gillette, and Colgate-Palmolive.
T3Ci Executive VP Peter Riemen says the vendor recently performed its billionth RFID tag read. |
“The majority of the reads came from our Promotion Execution Management solution,” says Peter Rieman, executive VP, a T3Ci cofounder, and a former executive with manufacturing execution system pioneer Consilium. “If everything runs perfectly, you can get a 25 percent lift from a special promotion campaign, but nothing ever works perfectly in retail. Boxes get shipped to the wrong store; they get set up early; or not at all. Success comes down to raising the level of quality in execution, and we’re doing that with some 30 companies now.”
Riemen says it took three years for the company to hit its first billionth read, but anticipates the second billionth will take only four months.
