COE-8 (contacts over Ethernet) switch system provides a link between older systems that commonly use relay alarms, converts signals into IP messages, and re-converts them to relay closures at the other end. Technology reduces the need for physical, on-site network management, administration, and support by consolidating remote network equipment into a central location. System consists of an input and an output unit. Input unit collects switch information, and upon a change in status, sends a message over the network to the output unit. Output unit then changes its relays to match the status of the input unit. Status monitoring and setup control is managed through a Web browser interface.
