Santa Cruz, Calif.— Raytek Corp. has introduced the Thermalert CS100, a comprehensive infrared temperature measurement system for monitoring, control, and analysis of rotating kiln shells used in cement and lime production. The system combines an environmentally protected infrared line scanner and a powerful, industrial software program. It allows for accurate detection and monitoring of hot spots in refractory bricks to prevent costly kiln damage and extend production runs. DataTemp CS100 runs on a standard PC and uses a Microsoft Windows NT interface; the system also includes a temperature resistant inductive sensor used to synchronize kiln rotation with the scanning system.
