TI unveils open DSP software platform for motor control

Using its eXpressDSP real-time software platform to make digital signal processor (DSP) motor control development faster and easier, Texas Instruments (TI) on Sept. 25 launched what it reports is the first open platform for DSP software used for digital motor control. The new platform includes standards, algorithms and plug-in tools expected to aid DSP motor control software development with comprehensive, tailored, modular software solutions.
