Irvine, Calif.— Burkert Contromatic has introduced the Type 8630 fully integrated control head unit for easy on/off or continuous process control. Built with a decentralized intelligence, these compact, standalone control modules function as a position sensor, microprocessor controller, and pilot actuator. They are easy to install and feature integrated pilot valves and a PID controller with internal and external setpoint, , two feedback limit switches, and ASI-bus connection for “easy networking” capability. With an accuracy with 1%, these units are ideal for applications requiring an advanced level of process automation such as chemical and pharmaceutical industry, textile industry, food and beverage processing, and water treatment facilities. The control head accepts three sensor input types: PT 100, 4-20 mA or frequency. They are powered with 24 V dc and offer two binary outputs.
