Total Control acquires computer firm

Total Control Products Inc. agreed June 8 to acquire substantially all net operating assets of Deeco Systems (Hayward, Calif.), a designer and manufacturer of flat panel automation products. Total Control is paying $5.5 million in cash plus an earn out of up to $2 million if certain financial targets are met during 1999.

Total Control Products Inc. agreed June 8 to acquire substantially all net operating assets of Deeco Systems (Hayward, Calif.), a designer and manufacturer of flat panel automation products. Total Control is paying $5.5 million in cash plus an earn out of up to $2 million if certain financial targets are met during 1999. With 1997 revenues of about $15 million, Deeco had been a subsidiary of Lucas Varity’s (Hayward, Calif.) Electrical and Electronic Systems Division.
