Enhanced image contrast and clarity in high-ambient light applications are available with the High-Transparency Resistive Touch Panels for transmissive LCDs from Fujitsu Components Ltd. Additions to the company’s 4- and 7-wire resistive offerings, the panels feature 86% transmissivity and are intended for a variety of portable and stationary applications, including tablet PCs and industrial instruments. A special index-matching coating on the panels’ glass- and film-layers lower reflectance losses.

Panels feature consistently higher brightness with low-power LCDs and improved contrast. Standard 7-wire high-transmissivity panels are 15- and 17-in., clear and anti-glare panels with 86% tranmissivity; the 17-in. AG model includes Fujitsu’s anti-smudge surface. New to the 4-wire line are a 3.7-in. anti-glare 80% transmissive panel, a 3.9-in. clear 86% transmissive panel; and 10.4-in. 86% transmissive panel available with anti-glare or clear-hardcoat finishes.
