Touchscreens for portable computing

Methuen, Mass. -TouchTek4 4-wire touchscreen has low power requirements that are required for battery-powered portable devices. The company says its touchscreens are four times more durable than competitive ones on a pen-stroking test and rates 4H in a pencil hardness test compared to the usual 3H or less. MicroTouch has also developed a proprietary method of reducing or eliminating ‘Newton rings’-patterns of light interference that sometimes affect clarity.
