Type 950XP explosion-proof I/P (current-to-pressure) transducer is approved by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Factory Mutual (FM) for use with natural gas. Device converts an electrical current signal to a proportionally linear pneumatic output to actuate valves. When compressed plant air is not available to operate pneumatic valve actuators, natural gas from a pipeline may be used to supply the inlet pressure to the Type 950XP transducer, which provides the output pressure used to drive control valves. The “tapped exhaust” option on the transducer is used to connect piping that captures natural gas venting from the unit and escorts it to a safe area away from the application where it can be safely released as required. www.controlair.com ControlAir Inc.
