Siemens has announced a UID verification system designed to meet MIL-STD-130 and Association of Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM), Direct Part Mark (DPM) Quality Guideline DPM-1-2006 verification standards. The UID Compliance Verifier, DPM enables the U.S. Department of Defense and its suppliers to comply with the AIM DPM Quality Guideline DPM-1-2006, adopted in MIL-STD-130M, Change 1. It provides backward compatibility to the earlier MIL-STD-130 releases, and performs full syntax validation of data content verification. Capable of tabletop and portable operation, the verifier is the first system to fully meet the requirements of AIM DPM-1-2006. It also meets the dome lighting requirement to beoutlined in the AIM Guideline, MIL-STD-130N, expected to be released by year end.
