PV500 ultra high-speed gray scale vision system from Panasonic Electric Works Corp. of America uses the company’s “4+1” penta processor configuration to achieve 0.4 ms processing time for full-screen gray-scale windows. This Panasonic Electric Works machine vision system uses triple buffer technology for online adjustment; pipeline (parallel) processing maximizes production, and is able to process 500 pps using the company’s Quad speed cameras. Model PV500 can handle up to 4 cameras that can be triggered independently to correct any mechanical displacements. It can display images clearly for 2 MP cameras with high resolution using any XGA compatible screen. A variety of pre-processing filters ensures high-precision inspection with simple setting operations. System can be easily implemented in the connector industry, offering four checkers exclusively designed for such connector pin inspections as inside pin gap, pin pitch, pin co-planarity, and width measurements.
