EO family of intelligent machine-vision cameras from Edmund Optics are equipped with software features said to make machine vision easier to implement and control and a USB 2.0 interface that provides a high-speed link for data downloads. Available in four resolution and speed combinations ranging from 752 x 480 pixels at 87 fps to 2,560 x 1,920 pixels at 6 fps. Lower resolution cameras are available in monochrome or color versions; higher resolution models come in color-only. Each has a progressive-scan CMOS sensor, software-based exposure control, C-mount lens fittings, and USB 2.0 interface. All cameras have the same dimensions to allow users to interchange them without system modifications. Prices range from $695 to $1,195.
