V. 5.1 ProTool/Pro

Alpharetta, Ga.—The Industrial Software Business Unit of Siemens Energy and Automation has released v. 5.1 of ProTool/Pro, a configuration and visualization software package for Simatic HMI. Offering full operating functionality with Microsoft Windows 95/98 and NT, it gives users a common platform to easily configure simple text displays, high-end graphical operator panels and, with its integrated runtime component, standard PCs. The common format of ProTool/Pro enhances productivity and reduces costs, particularly for OEMs employing a variety of user interfaces for machine control applications. It contains familiar Microsoft project windows similiar to Explorer, and wizards for creating a control project.
