Vibrating level sensor

By Control Engineering Staff December 1, 1999

Fremont, Calif. -VH sensors use solid state piezoelectric vibrating principles for detecting levels of materials such as fibers, perlite, diatomaceous earth, toner, carbon black, white carbon, and Styrofoam. The sensor’s outputs close when material contacts probe and dampens vibration. Required power is 90-132 V ac or 180-264 V ac, 50/60 Hz. Output contact rating is 3A at 240 V ac or 3A at 30 V dc. Two models are available. The VH10 sensor has a 6.25-in. (159 mm) probe. The VH20 sensor offers probes from 20 in. to 8 ft. (500 to 2,500 mm).
