Video display: Field-mountable data recorder can go anywhere
ABB’s SM500F videographic recorder offers four-channel graphic data logging without a PC or other supporting equipment.
Process recording and monitoring can leave the control room and go anywhere in the plant using a new field mountable data recorder. ABB says its SM500F is the first and only videographic recorder of its kind, offering four-channel graphic data logging without a PC or other supporting equipment.
Self-contained in a sealed NEMA 4X and IP66 enclosure, the SM500F can be installed in a panel or bolted to a pipe just about anywhere. It’s protected against water, dirt, dust, and can be hosed down.
The SM500F is available with a color or monochrome display and can present process data in a variety of formats, including chart, bar graph, and digital indicator views. On-screen historical logs provide easy access to alarm, totalizer, and audit trail data in a Microsoft Windows environment. Data can be archived using a 2GB SD camera card. An onboard Web server uses a Microsoft Internet Explorer platform and Ethernet communication to interface with larger plant networks.
