WebOPC offered as OPC client

Siemens Energy & Automation Inc.’s Industrial Software Business Unit is offering Intuitive Technology’s (Marlboro, Mass.) WebOPC as an optional OPC client with Siemens’ software-based control system products. WebOPC for Siemens Industrial Software provides an interface for users to access real-time data from a plant database using a standard Internet browser.

Once installed on a web server, real-time data can be viewed remotely via the OPC server mechanism of Siemens’ software applications, such as Simatic WinCC (SCADA), Simatic WinAC (PC-based control), and Simatic Net industrial network.
