Weed Instrument launches five temperature transmitters

Round Rock, TX— Weed Instrument has released five low-cost temperature transmitters, which it reports provide 0.08% accuracy. Two of the new transmitters feature narrow-profile (12.7 mm) DIN-rail mounting, allowing multiple transmitters to be stacked in a small space. Model 9100D is HART-compatible and Model 7600D is PC-programmable, providing 2-wire, 4-20 mA or 20-4 mA with optional HART signal superimposed.

Weed adds its product expansion also includes three head-mount temperature transmitters. Model 9100H is HART-compatible, while Models 7600H and 4500H are PC-programmable. All three models are available with optional digital display meters, which is for local indication of process temperature, 0-100% of scale, or 4-20 mA output.

In addition, these five new transmitters use WeedComm software, which allows custom configuration, permits entering of unique linearization in non-standard electrical inputs, and enhanced temperature measurement accuracy.

The five transmitters also are microprocessor-based, can be configured by a PC, as well as a HART communicators for the HART-compatible units, and take all universal temperature inputs, such as RTD, thermocouple, resistance, and millivolt. The transmitters can be supplied with FM, CSA or ATEX hazardous area certifications.
