Westinghouse Process Control renamed Emerson’s Power & Water Solutions
Pittsburgh, PA— Emerson Process Management announced Aug. 28 that its Westinghouse Process Control division has been renamed Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions .
Originally part of Westinghouse Electric, the company was known as Westinghouse Process Control from the 1960s through the 1990s. Westinghouse Process Control became part of Emer-son Process Management in 1997. This latest name change parallels recent efforts in the control and instrumentation industries to establish consistent recognition and branding.
Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions stated that it will continue to develop, market and support its Ovation Information & Control System technologies for energy genera-tors, such as Duke Energy and Commonwealth Edison, and continue delivering water and waste-water applications for municipalities, such as Detroit, Pittsburgh and San Diego.
