WIB Plant Security Working Group selects Kube as cyber security expert
Process industry user group seeks help in developing security architecture for control systems.
The Hague, Netherlands — WIB, the International Instrument Users Association , has selected Dr. Nate Kube of Wurldtech as cyber security subject matter expert for its Plant Security Working Group.
"Dr. Kube is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of industrial control systems security, formal testing and certification program development and brings an impressive breadth of experience to help drive our security efforts for the end-user community," says Ted Angevaare, working group chairman and global security leader for Shell. "We are extremely happy to have him join our team and look forward to his contributions."
WIB is an international association that provides process instrumentation evaluation and assessment services for, and on behalf of, its members. The membership rolls include leading energy companies such as BP, Shell, Areva, and Total. In 2007, the plant security working group was formed to address the challenges of its member community with a focus on developing international cyber security standards and creating security certification guidelines to drive security improvements throughout network infrastructure supply chains.

Kube is the co-founder and CTO of Wurldtech Security Technologies, Vancouver, BC, Canada. He leads the company’s technology innovation group to improve the safety and security of global critical infrastructures.
