Poway, Calif. – Annasoft is offering special promotional pricing on the Windows XP Embedded Configuration Kit through February 28. The kit consists of Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Studio and 10 runtime licenses for Windows XP Embedded. It will sell for $1,745 during the promotional period, versus the standard price of $3,425. In addition, there is a coupon for $300 off on the 2-day, hands-on, Windows XP Embedded class.

Windows Embedded Studio can be purchased without licenses or training coupon for the promotional price of $949, a saving of $1,750 from the standard price.

Windows Embedded Studio is a set of development tools used to create a custom Windows XP Embedded image based on the requirements of a target device. The tools enable embedded developers to create an image containing only the exact features and functionality of OS required for their device. The tools suite includes:

Component Database – definitions of platforms, components, and their supporting data;

Target Designer – Tool to customize and produce the run-time image that is deployed on the embedded device;

Component Designer – Allows creation of new object definitions;

Component Database Manager – Used to import object definitions into the database, browse the database, and delete objects from the database; and

Platform-specific tools – Assist with hardware analysis, image deployment, and data conversion.
