Weidmuller offers a new line of industrial wireless products as an alternative to signal and data wiring in a line designed to provide secure, reliable wireless connectivity solutions for applications from simple input/output (I/O) connections to complex data-bus interconnections. The line, provided in a joint effort with ELPRO technologies, includes radio frequency (RF) units, protocol converters (gateways), Ethernet modems, and accessories with CSA Class 1 Division 2 regulatory approval for hazardous areas. Weidmuller’s RF units connect directly to sensor or control signals, and are unidirectional. An industrial strength transmitter unit (full 1 W) permits users to make thousands of I/O connections throughout a facility or across many miles. www.weidmuller.com Weidmuller
