Yokogawa, Environment One form alliance

Newnan, GA— Environment One Corp.’s Utility Systems Business (E/One USB) and Yokogawa Corp. of America have formed a distribution alliance based on each firm’s success in the power generation field. E/One USB supplies generator condition monitoring equipment. Yokogawa supplies process automation equipment.

“This alliance brings together two industry leaders that, together, will greatly improve the value proposition for end-users,” says Roger Van Nuis, Yokogawa’s sales channels GM. “Premium Yokogawa products along with E/One’s core monitoring and product integration expertise create the most reliable and most technologically advanced generator monitoring solutions in the industry.”

The two manufacturers report that their alliance brings them together in a unified distribution channel. E/One’s generator monitoring packages, using Yokogawa instrumentation, will now be sold through Yokogawa’s sales partners in the U.S. The companies expect that the combined effort will present a single source for generator monitoring systems.

Yokogawa adds that its GD402/GD40 hydrogen purity analyzer has been successful in upgrading existing field technology. E/One has reportedly had similar success with its Gas Station generator condition monitor package, which is sold mainly to generator manufacturers. These two companies add that they maintain a presence in nearly 60% of the power plants in North America.

E/One USB is a subsidiary of PCC Flow Technologies, Inc., which is a division of Precision Castparts Corp.

Yokogawa Corp. of America is the North American unit of Yokogawa Electric Corp., which manufactures and supplies instrumentation, process control, and automation solutions. These products include analyzers, flowmeters, transmitters, controllers, recorders, data acquisition prod-ucts, meters, instruments, and distributed control systems.
