Sensorless Washer Motors Simplify Design

Motors in fans, pumps, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, elevators, conveyors, and other rotating applications consume over half of the world's electricity, according to the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Most use wasteful electromechanical drives that only turn a motor on or off.
