DCOM Hardening Patch Solution
Velta Technology and TXOne Networks Inc. are teaming to help organizations safeguard their industrial control systems (ICS) and avoid potential revenue disruptions ahead of an imminent Microsoft Windows Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) hardening patch enablement. In the absence of a proper mitigation strategy, the DCOM hardening patch could potentially shut down ICS equipment impacting plant production and operations. The partnership provides a cost-effective and time-efficient interim solution that will maintain operations following the patch.
CDV Index Score
The CDV Index is a method of quantifying and evaluating an industrial facility’s preparedness, resiliency, risks, and progress of addressing digital incidents, threats and compromises that can negatively impact production, operations, environment, and lives. Factors to be considered can include age, severity, depth, criticality, segmentation among mitigation actions. Evaluation is necessary due to the longer life cycle of industrial systems, controllers, and sensors, along with limited purpose processing devices, including IoT; which lacks the capabilities of endpoint protection, patch updates and security authentication controls. A CDV Index Score tells management and insurers about the relative status of the connected devices in an industrial facility. It is calculated by using information gathered from the network supporting the connected industrial equipment. The score is calculated at a point in time and can change due to circumstances such as devices added, software updates, new vulnerabilities issued, segmentation and other mitigations incurred. Securing your CDV Index score begins with an accurate inventory of connected devices compiled with data from your network. Each asset requires a vulnerability search issued for each individual device and software/firmware levels.
SenseR Ready Panel Program
Velta Technology’s ‘design-in’ sensor solution on new panels can eliminate expensive retro-fit costs down the road and provides visibility and detection of cyber threats for your industrial assets. This non-intrusive, passive method adds Digital Safety to your operation and is compatible with most leading providers or available as a complete 24X7 end-to-end service. Our program provides real-time asset inventory down to firmware and serial number to deliver digital reviews targeting warranty services, ongoing maintenance efforts, and new and existing vulnerability reporting with detail to support future modernization initiatives. We can reduce the often-delayed manual ad-hoc efforts of identifying the current status and risk levels of the components in a panel while providing constant monitoring of active cybersecurity risks to equipment.
