Limitorque Actuation Systems’ MT-Series of ductile-iron bevel-gear operators are said to provide reliable performance in power-industry valve applications. Designed as a combination of a bevel-gear-operator torque housing with a new thrust-base design, MT Series is aimed at torque-seated valves and applications involving elevated process temperatures. It features heavy-duty thrust bearings and drive-sleeve/stem-nut design that combine to handle seating- and unseating-forces of high-pressure gate- and globe-valves found in power plants. It is available in torque ratings of up to 8,000 lb-ft and thrust up to 325,000 lb. When motorized by the Limitorque MX, SMB, or L120 series electric actuators, MT Series offers a wide range of valve opening and closing times.
