EC: LNX-2012GN-SFP Gigabit Managed Ethernet Switch

Network Integration — Ethernet switches: The LNX-2012GN-SFP is a 20-port industrial Gigabit managed Ethernet switch with eight 10/100/1000Tx and twelve 100/1000 SFP slots. This is a Control Engineering 2017 Engineers’ Choice Awards Finalist.

Antaira’s LNX-2012GN-SFP(-T) industrial gigabit managed Ethernet switch is designed to fulfill applications in harsh environments before data is sent to layer three or core networking equipment. This unit has one of the highest density SFP fiber port counts in the market for DIN-Rail. The extensive SFP fiber connectivity is ideal for centralized connection of multiple devices, especially in environments with electrical noise where immunity is key. Acting as a central connection point in an industrial environment the LNX-2012GN-SFP(-T) performs layer 2 software functionality, then routes the data into a layer 3 or core switch without costly consumption of ports on the layer 3 device.

Antaira Technologies’ LNX-2012GN-SFP(-T) supports a 12 to 48 Vdc power input range. Each unit is designed with eight 10/100/1000Tx Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and twelve 100/1000 dual rate SFP slots for fiber. With a 40 Gigabit backplane speed, the LNX-2012GN-SFP(-T) supports jumbo frames and wide bandwidth for large Ethernet data packet transmissions. The LNX-2012GN-SFP(-T) provides high EFT, surge (2,000 Vdc) and ESD (6,000 Vdc) protection. This unit also includes a redundant dual power input design with reverse polarity protection, and built-in relay warning function to alert maintainers if links break or power failures occur. This makes it ideal for applications requiring high reliability and distance extension in industries such as power/utility, factory/process control automation, mining, and intelligent transportation systems.

This product series is pre-loaded with "Layer 2" network management software that supports an ease of use Web Console or Telnet through the serial console by CLI configuration. The managed switch provides a ring network redundancy function with STP/RSTP/MSTP and a Super Ring protocol that supports a <30 ms network recovery time, eliminating concerns for compatibility issues with an already existing network. In addition, the built-in SNMP, VLAN, IGMP, QoS features support network planners to increase data transmission performance within the network.
