GMMS ground monitoring system is a solid-state device that continuously monitors the integrity of an electrical grounding system and automatically reacts if a problem occurs.

GMMS ground monitoring system is a solid-state device that continuously monitors the integrity of an electrical grounding system and automatically reacts if a problem occurs. The Rabun Labs unit senses moisture in soil. If moisture reaches an unacceptable level, it activates a solenoid valve allowing water or other resistance-lowering material to be gently applied to the area around the electrical grounding system. When soil resistivity reaches an acceptable level, the unit resets and resumes monitoring. Unit can also be connected to remote monitoring systems for notification of ground system status. Device may also be used to monitor connection of ac outlets and equipment to the system. Unit reports through audible and visual indicators and to remote monitoring systems. It is housed in a wall-mounted, gray, non-metallic enclosure; measures 7.5 x 4.5 x 2 in.; and weighs 1 lb.
